G has really been interested in reading and math lately. We aren’t pushing it but following her lead.
I made this self checking puzzle for her the other day. It was pretty quick to make and she had fun with it. We did this activity 2-3 times and the last time, we glued everything to construction paper.
Variations:
– letters: same case or different
-numbers: match the numbers, match the number with the word, or match the number with a representation (dots, tally marks, pictures)
-colors
-shapes
-beginning words/sight words
-math facts
Cut out rectangles on construction paper (or use index cards). Then write the word on the top and bottom of the paper. Cut them apart using. Make sure you cut each one a little differently.
