I LOVE the library. We used to go to story time a lot when G was a baby and then something happened and we stopped going. I don’t know why… because we loved going. Anyways… we recently started going again. I try to go every Saturday at 2:00. Why? Because they have the perfect storytime for my 2 kids. Their age gap makes it hard to find something a 2 year old and a 5 year old would enjoy. But the ABC craft and learn on Saturday afternoons is pretty much perfect. They learn about a letter, read a story, do a craft that connects the letter and the story, then sing the ABCs. We 10/10 recommend.
Our library has lots of story times through out the week. And there are about 10 more branches within 20 minutes of us. If we miss Saturday, we can find another time to go.
The librarians are just lovely. They are so helpful with the kids and me!
Reasons I love the library:
-Craft and story times.
-My kids find new books that we never would have read otherwise. New topics, authors, cultures, experiences, places, etc. It’s a big world out there and the library helps us see bits and pieces.
-If our branch doesn’t have a book we want, we just request it and it shows up in a few days.
-Ebooks and audiobooks. Audio books are awesome for the car!
-Cookbooks!! So many cookbooks!!!
-Our library system has an online form to help you find books. You fill it out with books, shows, movies you liked or didn’t like and they will create a custom list of books for you!
-There is a library half way between me and everyone.
-There are libraries everywhere. So when you travel, look for the local branch and see when they have activities.
-The classes and activities for adults. I haven’t been able to participate in these but I am keeping my eyes on the calendar to see when I want to jump in. Gotta find a sitter too….
