Mema’s Pizza

My grandma was famous for her cooking. Her pizza was no exception.

I love making her pizza dough. And I love that I have her recipe in her hand writing.

recipe:

heat and dissolve 3/4 c. milk, 3T. Oleo (margarine but I have used butter and avocado oil and it worked great), 2T. Sugar, and salt. Allow that to cool.

Mix 1 package of yeast and 1/4 c. warm water.

Mix both of those with 3 c. flour.

Once the milk mixture has cooled and you mix everything together, let it sit for about 20 minutes.

preheat your oven to 425.

Spray your pans, and press out the dough.

bake! Time varies a little but keep an eye on them around 10 minutes.

one recipe makes 2 cookie sheet sized pizza.

Favorite toppings:

cheese (mozzarella and parmesan), pepperoni, pesto.

I made a sweet potato and black bean pizza with left overs and it was amazing. I used salsa and taco cheese then put black beans and roasted sweet potato pieces on top.
